Alaska 1917 is an interactive alternate reality art experience that blends the internet, web3, and real world elements into an immersive universe-stretching narrative. The long form narrative, designed to unfold via multiple self-contained missions, allows community members to interact with, and affect the story as it unfolds. The community will also have opportunities throughout their missions to acquire digital assets that can be used to further their journey and heighten the experience.
THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU BEGIN #
#1 Setup a Crypto Wallet #
Prepare a crypto wallet in your browser of choice and ensure that it is set up to send and receive tokens on both the Ethereum (ETH) mainnet and Polygon (MATIC) mainnet. We suggest using MetaMask. which you can find instructions on setting up here. The Ethereum mainnet will already be installed as it is the default network in MetaMask, but you will have to set up the Polygon mainnet which can be done by simply visiting polygonscan.com and selecting Add to MetaMask at the bottom of the homepage.
You do not require a key to participate in public activities, join the community discord, or engage with content from the main mission storylines, however your ability to influence events, acquire additional clues, engage with content, utilise tools, and access resources may be limited without the use of a Game Key or Mission Key. Regardless of whether you choose to purchase a game key or mission key, we suggest setting up a metamask or other wallet in case it is required to receive assets or interact with elements of the world during your missions.
